From the Pastor's Desk

Dear Church:

Greetings to you all in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Ash Wednesday is a day of repentance and it marks the beginning of Lent season. It marks the start of a 40 day period which   refers to the separation of Jesus in the desert to fast and pray. During this time he was tempted and tested but Jesus emerged     victorious. (Matthew 4: 1 – 11, Mark 1: 12 – 13, and Luke 4: 1 – 13).
Today, where ever you are, pause for some time and realize the sacrifice that Jesus had to make for you on the cross.               Take some time to pray and thank God. Parents and elders take some time to talk with young children the importance and         significance of Lent in our Christian lives. I encourage all of you to attend lent weekly prayer meetings.

As we observe this season of Lent:
May this season of Lent be of great blessing to all of us.
May this season be a time of sincere reflection of our own lives.
May this season also be a time of faithful repentance of our sins.
Pray and uphold one another.
May the blessing of God the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit be with you all always.
Amen.

Remember that you art dust, and to dust you shall return. Genesis 3: 19
The Kingdom of God has come near, so repent, and hear the good news.

Mark 1: 15

Peace and Blessings
